YVR Shoots: Hook and his Pirate Ship

See spoiler pics and text below the cut!

Full credit to YVR Shoots for the text below.

That wasn’t Captain Jack Sparrow commanding the Tall Ship Lady Washington in the waters off Steveston yesterday, although Captain Jack did commandeer this exact ship in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie when it was known as the HMS Interceptor, the fastest ship in the Caribeean. Nope. That was Once Upon a Time’s Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) commanding the Lady Washington out in Georgia Strait. The ship’s crew of 12 and the Once Upon a Time crew of many more set sail around noon Friday to film scenes of Hook and other characters on board his pirate ship for about five hours in the afternoon sunshine.

I caught their return into dock at the Britannia Shipyards at suppertime, too late to see them in full sails, but just in time to see Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) disembark in full costume from a great distance. My photos don’t do O’Donoghue justice. See Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive first look at Hook for one that does. It’s no wonder that Once Upon a Time upped O’Donoghue to series regular this week before we even see him on screen.
